You Don't Have to Navigate Your Teen's Mental Health Struggles Alone
Is the topic of mental health confusing and frustrating because you don't have experience with these types of challenges?
Are you overwhelmed by your teen's mental health struggles and unsure if you are making the right decisions to best support them in their time of need?
Are you doubting yourself, feeling like you have failed, or that their struggles are your fault?
I Get It!
You are not a mental health expert, and there is so much information out there it can be overwhelming. But you don't have to be a mental health expert to support your teen and take care of your mental health. There are truths, tools, and skills you can learn that will change the way you see your role as a parent.
And that change in perspective is freeing!
The reason I decided to offer coaching is that, after my daughter's suicide attempt this past spring, I realized parents go through the crisis with their child with virtually no support. I've experienced frustration and uncertainty, and I work in teen suicide prevention! You'd think I had it all figured out, but what I learned is that no one does! And that's okay.
Why Work with me?
There are thousands of coaches out there, so why me?
The emotional pain and complexity that come with mental health crises are all too familiar to me. Not only am I a trained mental health professional, but I have navigated most of my life with a mental health condition, so I totally get the fear and uncertainty that come in waves. Over the last few decades, I've survived an eating disorder, bipolar II, trauma from childhood abuse, and suicide, and healed my PTSD. And, as a single Mom of an 18-year-old who struggles with her mental health, I've practiced the truths, tools, and skills I teach, and they got me through the darkest times. I know they will do the same for you!
My coaching provides expert advice, education, tools, and guidance so you can parent your child without losing yourself.
